All that’s required is a stable internet connection and computerized device such as a laptop, iPad, or even a smartphone. Your staff member should position the internet-enabled device so that patient and doctor can see each other and stand by for any additional instructions, such as to conduct a blood pressure test or other simple diagnostic screening.
If desired, patient caregivers, family members, or other medical specialists may be invited to join the telehealth visit for an efficient team-based approach to individual patient care.
